Meet Nadine

Hamsa Healing was founded in 2020 by Dr Nadine Rizkallah (Physiotherapist). Over her career she has gained extensive experience working in musculoskeletal private practice’s around Brisbane and for one of Australia’s top Pilates studios and education providers. She has completed degrees in Biomedical Science with Pharmacology Honours as well as a Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University. She has also completed further study across a broad range of areas ranging from psychology and counselling to sport and exercise science. Nadine has more recently completed a certificate in training and education which makes her an extremely qualified Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. 

Nadine’s early career began in neurological rehabilitation at Princess Alexandra Hospital and she has since gone on to gain further expertise in sport and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Throughout the last seven years, Nadine has worked as a Clinical Pilates Instructor in one of Brisbane’s top studios - taking individual, small and large group classes on all equipment. One of her career highlights has been creating new pilates courses and training pilates instructors all over Australia and internationally. 

 

Focusing on each individual client’s needs is Nadine’s expertise. She takes time to get to know her clients and understand their bodies and their daily lives. This way she is able to provide thorough assessments, create achievable treatment plans and achieve long term results for her clients. 

 

Nadine has experienced her own share of illness and injury as well as a personal life highlight, being blesses with her wonderful daughter, Olivia. Throughout her own personal journey she has learnt to be empathetic and understand what it is like to be unwell or injured and the process involved to come out the other side. 

 

As previously mentioned, Nadine’s early career involved working in a research capacity with stroke patients in a neurological rehabilitation ward and she has published research in the area of stroke assessment. Rehabilitation is still a passion of hers, and she has found physiotherapy and pilates an excellent tool for maximising long term independence and quality of life.

Nadine is also a published writer and has written many courses for Studio Pilates International from foam roller to advanced reformer and many more. She actively shares her pilates knowledge on her Instagram page and Facebook page
